The Army Peace Operations School (APOTS) held a farewell ceremony on Thursday, 3 July 2025, to honour four retiring soldiers at the Battle Training Camp in Bundase.
The retirees: Senior Warrant Officers Class Two (SWO II) Iddrisu Issahaku Peter, Agyemang Kwei Charles, Alhassan Assibi Emmanuel, and Etuah Jackson Ishmael are members of Course 1/96 who have completed their mandatory thirty years of military service. They will proceed on terminal leave starting Monday, 7 July 2025.
During the ceremony, Commander, APOTS Colonel (Col) Reuben Dela Klutse commended the retirees for their dedication and exemplary service. He expressed pride in their contributions and assured them of his continued support, stating that his door will always be open to them.
Col Klutse presented plaques and cash awards to the departing soldiers and urged younger personnel to emulate their professionalism. Speaking on behalf of the retirees, SWOII Alhassan Assibi Emmanuel expressed gratitude to God and the Commander for the recognition. He prayed for divine guidance and protection for APOTS personnel and encouraged instructors to uphold the School’s high standards.
Also present were the Staff Officer Grade I -Administration & Logistics, Lieutenant Colonel CT Martins, the Training Officer APOTS, Major Ralph Bulla Blackman, the Admin Officer, Captain Ishmael Patterson and other officers of the School.
