PROFILE OF COMMANDING OFFICER


Lieutenant Colonel Frank Kwesi Ageman was commissioned into the Infantry Corps of the Ghana Army, and posted to the 64 Infantry Regiment in 2005 as a Lieutenant. He is one of two officers, first to be posted directly from the Military Academy to the 64 Infantry Regiment. He obtained a BA (Hons) in Social Work with Sociology from the University of Ghana in the year 2000.

Lt Col FK Agyeman has attended several career courses commiserate with his rank both home and abroad. These include Military Law Course in 2006, Young Officers Course in 2008, Commando Course at Belgaum (India) in 2012, Junior Staff and Senior Staff Courses in 2016 and 2018 respectively, Combat Team Commanders in 2017, and Terrorism and Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany) in 2022.

He has held various appointments in the Ghana Armed Forces and on international peace support operations. These include Platoon Commander UNIFIL GH 64 in 2006, Platoon Commander UNMIL GH 10 in 2009, Officer Commanding MONUSCO GH 4 in 2011, UNOCI GH 19 in 2013, Officer Commanding UNMISS GHANBATT I in 2014, Staff Officer in MONUSCO HQ GI Branch from 2010 - 2011, Staff Officer in MONUSCO HQ as G3 Watch Keeper from 2015 - 2016, Commander Rear of 64 Infantry Regiment in 2014 and 2018, Second in Command of 64 Infantry Regiment in 2019 and Commanding Officer from 2021 till Date. He also served briefly as Director of Operations at Ghana's Ministry of National Security from Jan to May 2021.

He is married and the union is blessed with two children namely.
