Lt Col Lambert Alageyia Ajebaworoni, was born in 1986 in Navrongo, Upper East Region. He had his basic education at St John Bosco’s Junior Secondary School in Navrongo. He continued to Ghana Senior Secondary School in Tamale, Northern Region. Lt Col Ajebaworoni was enlisted as part of Regular Career Course Intake 48. He was commissioned into the Ghana Armed Forces in September 2008 and was posted to the Armour Corps of the Ghana Army as a Second Lieutenant.
Lt Col Ajebaworoni has completed all relevant military courses commensurate to his rank and appointment. These include the Young Officers Course and Combat Team Commanders Course both at the Army Combat Training School (ACTS). He also attended the prestigious Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College for his Junior Staff and Senior Staff Courses. He had his specialized armour Maneuver Captains’ Career Course at the Egypt Armour Institute.
Lt Col Ajebaworoni holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon. He also has a Masters in Defence and International Politics from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration
The CO has held several appointments in his career. These include Troop Leader, Adjutant, Officer Commanding 3 Mounted Squadron,1 Recce Squadron, HQ Squadron, all at the then Armoured Recce Regiment and now 153 Armoured Regiment in Accra. He was also an Officer Commanding and Admin Officer at the then 2 Independent Reconnaissance Squadron now 154 Armoured Regiment. Lt Col Ajebaworoni was the first Officer Commanding at the newly established 155 Armoured Regiment in Damongo. In addition to this appointment as the Commanding Officer of Armour Training School, he has additional responsibility as the Commander Rear of 154 Armoured Regiment.
He has participated in a number of Peacekeeping missions. Namely the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), United Nations Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecowas Mission in the Gambia, United Nations Mission in South Sudan in the capacities as Troop Leader, Watchkeeper, Officer Commanding, Training Officer, Operations Officer and Military Observer.
