The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, held a send-off ceremony for the Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA), Master Warrant Officer Ansah Yeboah, at the Army Headquarters’ Hall of Generals on Tuesday, 8 July 2025.
The event was organized to celebrate and honour the SMA’s 30 years of dedicated service to the colours, as well as to bid him farewell as he begins his terminal leave ahead of retirement.
In his remarks, the COAS fondly recalled the early days when the SMA was a young soldier at the training school and highlighted his remarkable rise through the ranks and various appointments. He commended the SMA for his unwavering commitment, dedication, and loyalty throughout his years of service to his motherland.
