The Director General of Religious Affairs (DGRA) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Brigadier General Kumi-Woode has advised soldiers of the 2 Infantry Battalion of the Ghana Army to set their life goals early.
Brigadier General Kumi-Woode gave the advice when he interacted with personnel during the Unit's weekly Padre Hour at Myohaung Barracks, Takoradi on Thursday 7 August 2025, as part of his visit to the 2 Garrison.
He reiterated the need for soldiers to marry early and settle down with families while still young in the service so that they could take good care of their families.
Brigadier General Kumi-Woode appealed to personnel to be disciplined, loyal, professional and endeavour to establish close and personal relationship with God for divine guidance and protection at all times.
Ending his interaction, and with a heavy heart, Brigadier General Kumi-Woode led the Unit to observe a minute's silence in memory of the eight people who lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash at Sikaman, Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti region on Wednesday 6 August 2025.
