GAF Education Director Visits 1 Garrison Educational Centre

The Director of Education, Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Colonel Osman Shanun Zuneidu, has embarked on a familiarisation tour of the 1 Garrison Educational Centre at Michel Camp, Tema.

The working visit, conducted on Monday, 23 June 2025, forms part of his maiden tour of the Garrison Educational Centres following his recent assumption of office.

A comprehensive briefing delivered by Garrison Education Officer, Captain Juaha Adamu, provided insights into the Centre’s administrative operations, developmental goals, infrastructural needs, and challenges.

During his engagement with school administrators, teaching and non teaching staff, Col Zuneidu affirmed his commitment to enhancing the welfare of personnel. He emphasised the importance of professionalism, effective leadership, and ethical conduct in shaping student discipline and academic achievement. He encouraged educators to uphold the highest standards of integrity and lead by example, while adhering to the established chain of command when addressing concerns.

 

Col Zuneidu commended the dedication and commitment of all educators and supporting staff across the Garrison. He reiterated the Education Directorate’s support for improving institutional capacity and staff welfare, assuring personnel that their concerns, particularly those related to accommodation would be relayed to the appropriate command structures for redress.

 

As part of the visit, the Director toured Army Primary School, Michel Camp KG/Primary, Garrison Primary School, Services Primary/JHS and Michel Camp 2 JHS. He also inspected ongoing infrastructural projects, including the construction of a new science laboratory for 1 Garrison Education Centre. He pledged his continuous support for educational development and infrastructural growth across the Garrison.
