The Minister for Health and aspiring Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku constituency, Honourable Dr Benard Okoe-Boye, has presented a cheque of One Hundred Thousand Cedis (GHS 100,000.00) to Headquarters Southern Command on Tuesday, 5 November, 2024, to help acquire medical equipment for the Kpeshie Medical Center (KMC).The gesture was in response to a request by KMC through the command to the Ministry of Health to help facilitate the acquisition of some medical apparatus to aid the facility operate efficiently and effectively. This comes on the back of a similar gesture by the Ministry to the Kpeshie Maternity at Wajir Barracks a few months earlier.
Dr. Okoe-Boye, who also donated 60 LED street lights to the command, emphasized the importance of the Health Ministry and other government institutions forming mutually beneficial partnerships with the Ghana Armed Forces. He said these collaborations would be advantageous for both institutions and contribute to national development.
