The 1 Infantry Battalion (1 BN) held an End-of-Year Thanksgiving Religious Parade on Sunday, 21 December 2025, at the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Michel Camp, under the theme "Celebrating the Goodness of God."
Reverend Father Major Anthony Kuta Essien delivered the sermon from Luke 17:11–19, urging a grateful heart as a spiritual weapon that unlocks blessings, protection, and victory.
He called for appreciation toward God, parents, institutions, and others, while advising families to prioritise peace over material conflicts for progress.
The Commanding Officer, 1BN, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Adams, expressed gratitude to God for the Unit’s protection and accomplishments. He acknowledged the unity among officers, soldiers, families, and civilian staff from various denominations for their collective dedication to worshipping together as a single Battalion family. He highlighted that the success and safety of the unit are attributable to divine guidance.
Furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel Adams took the opportunity to remember fallen colleagues and departed family members, offering prayers for divine comfort and provision for their loved ones.
