The 1 Infantry Battalion (1 Bn) has successfully passed out 33 trainees from the third batch of MOCON Security Company Limited, following a colourful Passing Out Parade held on Thursday 15 January 2026, at Michel Camp, Tema.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of a rigorous seven-week intensive training programme designed to produce disciplined, physically fit, and mentally alert security personnel capable of meeting contemporary security challenges.
The graduates, comprising 26 males and 7 females, received comprehensive training in drill, physical training, access control, voice procedure, search techniques, checkpoint duties, first aid, report writing, and emotional intelligence, equipping them with the skills needed for professionalism and effectiveness in the security industry.
The Guest of Honour, Mr Theodore Kwasi Agbeveade, Chief Operating Officer of ICON Energy Ltd, commended the Ghana Armed Forces for their professional training support to MOCON Security Company Limited.
He expressed profound appreciation to the Military High Command for the impactful partnership, describing the programme as rigorous, relevant, and transformative. Mr Agbeveade urged the graduates to uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism, noting that security duties require sacrifice, commitment, and a high sense of responsibility.
The parade featured an impressive drill display that highlighted the trainees’ discipline, cohesion, and teamwork, alongside the presentation of awards to outstanding performers.
Trainee Dzah Sandra Semira was adjudged Best in Drill, with Trainee Abdul Hadi Halil Ahmed emerging Best in Physical Training. Overall Best Trainee, Trainee Narteh Bright Twumasi received the award for Best in Academics, while Trainee Konama Issabella Effah was honoured as Best Female Trainee.
The Commanding Officer of 1 Bn, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Adams, was present to witness the successful culmination of the training programme, which reinforces national security capacity through effective military-civilian collaboration.
