The 4 Garrison Chaplaincy has held its annual Nine Lessons and Carols Night for personnel and their families on Wednesday, 18 December, 2024, at the 4 Garrison Methodist-Presbyterian Church auditorium, located in Uaddara Barracks, Kumasi.
The event featured various units and churches within the Command, who performed carols and heartfelt renditions of gospel songs, captivating all attendees.
The guest preacher, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Jonas Aboagye, Head Pastor of the Police Church Kumasi, delivered a poignant homily highlighting the goodness of God. He emphasized that Jesus came to Earth to guide humanity in understanding God's ways and to offer eternal life.
ACP Aboagye encouraged personnel to embrace the Christmas season as an opportunity to express gratitude for God's mercies and protection over the past year.
Brigadier General Michael Kwadwo Opoku, the General Officer Commanding Central Command, commended the personnel for their dedication and professionalism throughout the year. He urged them to take their religious obligations seriously and maintain a close relationship with their Maker.
Additionally, he took the opportunity to praise the spouses of personnel, encouraging them to continue demonstrating love and support for their husbands, wives and children.
