The 4 Garrison Education Centre has celebrated the remarkable contributions of its teaching staff at an awards ceremony held at the 4 Garrison Officer's Mess in Danyame on Wednesday, 18 December, 2024.The event was organized to honour and recognize the exceptional efforts of teachers who have played a crucial role in shaping the hearts and minds of students, guiding them toward a brighter future.In his welcome remarks, Garrison Education Officer Lt Col Robert Laryea Okorley expressed heartfelt gratitude to all teachers for their unwavering dedication to their students. He highlighted that this dedication contributed to the impressive achievement of a 100% pass rate in the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), noting that all students received placements in their chosen schools.Lt Col Okorley praised the teachers, stating that they are the driving force behind the success of the 4 Garrison Education Centre and the foundation upon which the school community is built. He emphasized that their selfless contributions to education align with the vision of creating a community where all school-aged children feel loved, respected, motivated, and encouraged to reach their full potential.He also expressed special appreciation to the past students and all stakeholders for their generous donations and ongoing support for the growth of the school, appealing to other benevolent organizations to assist in addressing some of the school's challenges.The Guest of Honour for the ceremony, Mr. Kwame Owusu Kwarteng, a senior lecturer in the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at the School of Business, KNUST, thanked the staff for their efforts in shaping the minds of the young ones entrusted to their care. As part of the awards, the Best Soldier award was presented to L/Cpl Aboagye Kingsley, while the Best Civilian Staff award went to Mr. Ampaw Yaw. The Overall Best KG Teacher award was given to Madam Felicia Asore of Forces KG, and the Overall Best Teacher in the Primary Category was awarded to Madam Ivy Agyapong. Additionally, Madam Dorothy Naa Korkoo of 4BN Junior High School received the Overall Best Teacher award in the Junior High School Category. A citation was also awarded to Mr. Richard Kwadwo Adomako, who was the first runner-up in the recent Ghana Teachers Awards held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
