4 Garrison, Sister Security Agencies Conduct Route March in Kumasi

Personnel of 4 Garrison, in collaboration with sister security agencies in the Ashanti Region, on Tuesday, 23 December 2025, undertook a route march through major streets of Kumasi to demonstrate readiness and reassure the public of their commitment to peace and security.The 25-kilometre exercise commenced at the Ashanti Regional Police Command and took participants through Adum, Asafo, Alabar, Ash Town, Suame Roundabout, and Bantama High Street, before concluding at Ridge Park in Danyame. The march formed part of measures aimed at assuring residents of sustained security throughout the Christmas festivities and beyond.Addressing participants at the end of the exercise, the Command Operations Officer of Central Command, Colonel Abass Atuluk, stated that security agencies in the region were fully prepared to ensure a calm, peaceful, and incident-free festive season. He noted that the exercise also underscored the strong unity and shared responsibility among the various services in safeguarding public safety.Colonel Atuluk urged personnel to protect the gains made by regional security leadership and to remain united and vigilant in responding swiftly to any emerging threats.The Chief Director of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, Mr Michael Owusu Amoako, who represented the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon Frank Amoakohene, expressed appreciation to the security personnel for their dedication and professionalism. He commended their sacrifices and reaffirmed the Council’s support for their efforts in maintaining peace in the region.Heads of the various regional security agencies were present to observe the exercise.
