The 6 Infantry Battalion has held a Pre-WASSA Inter-Company quiz competition on Friday 7 February 2025, at the Justice Opoku Hall in Kamina Barracks, Tamale.
The purpose of the quiz competition was to test troops on military and general knowledge and also promote the spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among personnel. Contestants for the quiz were drawn from the various companies within the Unit. The contestants were quizzed on questions from various topics such as Map Reading, Skill at Arms, Voice Procedure, General/Military knowledge and Minor Tactics.
Gracing the occasion, the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Jerry Yao Ankuyi commended personnel for the sacrifices made in preparation and good display of knowledge for the competition. He also advised personnel to continue to maintain the high standards of discipline and comportment.
After a keenly contested quiz competition, Charlie Company emerged the overall winner, followed by Bravo Company, Headquarters Company, Alpha Company and Support Company in the order of merit.
