69 Airborne Force Holds End of Year Dance 2025

The 69 Airborne Force has closed its 2025 operational calendar with a vibrant West African Soldiers Social Activity (WASSA) and End-of-Year dance held at the unit’s Warrant Officers (WOs) and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) Mess on Tuesday 30 December 2025. The event served as a platform for officers and men to unwind after a productive year, fostering esprit de corps while reflecting on the Unit’s significant contributions to national security.Addressing troops as the Guest of Honour, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Northern Command, Brigadier General Worlanyo Agbebo, lauded the unit for its staunch commitment to the Ghana Army’s core mission. He specifically highlighted the Unit’s undeniable efforts in the Bawku general area where the 69 Airborne Force has been a pillar in peace enforcement operations. Brigadier General Worlanyo Agbebo noted that the loyalty and teamwork of personnel have been the driving forces behind the progress achieved in de-escalating the complex Bawku conflict over the past year.The 6 Garrison Commander, Air Commodore Adu-Gyamfi in his remarks expressed his gratitude for a successful year. He reminded personnel that while the festive season is a time for joy, it must be approached with a security-conscious mindset.

Air Commodore Adu-Gyamfi urged troops to remain measured in their celebrations, maintaining the high standards of discipline that define the 6 Garrison.The celebration saw a high-profile turnout of Senior Officers from across the 6 Garrison, Officers, Soldiers, Defence Civilian Staff and families from the Unit.
