The 7 Medical Reception Station (7 MRS) and the 66 Artillery Regiment have marked this year’s world Hepatitis B day with awareness creation, free screening and free vaccination.
The event which took place on Monday 19 May 2025 at the Assemblies of God Church, Barracks New Town, Ho also featured free testing for HIV and syphilis for troops and their families, Defence Civilian Staff as well as the general public.
The Commanding Officer of the Regiment, Lt Col Jalali Din Ibrahim in his remarks, entreated troops and the general public to make good use of the opportunity to know their status and get free vaccination.
The Senior Medical Officer of the 7 MRS Captain Felix Quaicoo also advised continuous education, fighting of Hepatitis B stigma and encouraged regular health check up at all times.
