Members of the Army Wives Association (AWA) has celebrated their Annual Thanksgiving Service at the Garrison Methodist Presbyterian Church Auditorium in Burma Camp on Saturday, 6 December 2025.
Delivering the sermon on the theme ‘The Benefits of Thanksgiving using the 3P's in our Daily Life Activities’, Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr) Peter Amegashie from the Medical Directorate at the General Headquarters, briefed the congregation on the 3P's; Divine Placement, Divine Planting and Divine Protection, citing 2 Samuel 7:1-10.
He advised the members to apply the 3P's in their daily prayers, so that God would replace whatever they lost in 2025, replant new ideas for 2026 and grant them protection in their daily activities.
Lt Cdr Amegashie also emphasized the importance of patience and trusting God's perfect timing, encouraging them to be open to God's direction, which often differs from their own ideas.
The President of the Army Wives Association and wife of the Chief of the Army Staff, Mrs. Patience Dzifa Adeti-Gbetanu, commended the Chief Staff Officer at the Army Headquarters, Brigadier General Lloyd Atror, the Commanding Officer at Army Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Solomon Fiifi Ewudzie, the officiating ministers, the wives, and everyone who attended the annual service.
The ceremony, led by Reverend Nii Okai and his team, was filled with hymns, worship and praises.
