The Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, was present at a graduation ceremony held on Friday 30 January 2026, in honour of Regular Career Course (RCC) intake 64 and Short Service Commission and Special Duties intake 62 of the Ghana Military Academy, Teshie.
During the ceremony, Senior Under Officer (SUO) Agyare Peter Selorm took the Vanguard award (Chief of the Army Staff’s award) for placing first in the order of Merit of RCC 64.
SUO Agyare further took the Sword of Honour (awarded to the overall best Officer Cadet of RCC 64). Junior Under Officer Banachiga Maximus-Cliford was also awarded the Academic Cane (awarded to the Officer Cadet ajudged the best in Academic Studies in RCC 64).
