Commander 15 Armoured Brigade Pays Maiden Visit to 154, 155 Armoured Regiments and Armour Training School

The Commander 15 Armoured Brigade, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, has embarked on his maiden tour to 154 Armoured Regiment and Armour Training School in Sunyani, Bono Region as well as the 155 Armoured Regiment, Damongo in the Savannah Region. 

The visit which took place on Tuesday 27 May and Friday 30 May 2025 was to introduce himself to the troops, outline his vision and mission and gain first-hand insights into the operational requirements and challenges of the Regiments and the Training School under his command. The visit also underscored the commitment to ensuring that, facilities and logistics support are in place to meet the demands of military operations. 

The Brigade Commander was welcomed with a Guard of Honour after which he received a comprehensive briefing from the Commander Rear 154 and Commanding Officer (CO) Armour Training School, Lt Col Lambert Alageyia Ajebaworoni and CO 155 Armoured Regiment Lt Col Peter Afreh at their respective Regiments. The brief included the operational structure, training programmes, equipment maintenance, administrative needs, logistical capabilities and welfare measures implemented within the Regiment.

In his address following the briefing, the Brigade Commander reiterated the Brigade’s commitment to providing the necessary resources and support to optimize operational effectiveness across the Regiments.

Brig Gen FN Tei as part of his tour inspected the progress of the Brigade Headquarters, which is under construction in Sunyani. He also inspected key installations, facilities and on-going projects in the various Regiments. His visit was crowned with an all ranks Durbar which provided the opportunity for open dialogue, allowing troops to express their concerns.

He commended the Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff for their professionalism, hard work and dedication to the Regiment amidst various operational challenges and reaffirmed his support for their welfare and operational needs. He urged troops to give out their utmost best to achieve a common goal for the progress of the Brigade.
