Delegation From Lele Group of Companies Pays Courtesy Call on The Chief of The Army Staff

A delegation from LeLe Group of Companies, led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Helena Gaisie Stephens, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, at the Army Headquarters on Wednesday 4 February 2026. The visit was aimed at formally introducing the delegation to the COAS and exploring areas of collaboration, particularly in support of health-related projects for the Ghana Army.

Major General Gbetanu welcomed the delegation and expressed profound appreciation for ongoing projects by the company, including the construction of a new maternity theatre at 1 Battalion of Infantry (1 Bn), under the 1 Medical Reception Station, Michel Camp, and the donation of a brand new Zhonda pickup vehicle by Mr Hussein Jaber. He noted that the maternity theatre would help reduce pressure and response time during emergencies and expressed confidence that the collaboration would continue to grow.

The COAS further commended the team for their excellent work, especially the renovation of Yebuah Maternity Ward at the 37 Military Hospital and the construction of a new integrated blood bank for the Ghana Armed Forces Critical Care and Emergency Hospital (GAFCCEH), both of which he officially commissioned.

Mrs Helena Gaisie Stephens thanked the COAS for honouring their visit and for his continuous support, which she said, motivates LeLe Group of Companies to keep assisting the Ghana Army and Defence Civilian Staff. She added that the maternity theatre would be commissioned soon.

Also present at the meeting were the Chief Staff Officer at the Army Headquarters, Brigadier General Lloyd Atror; General Officer Commanding Southern Command, Brigadier General Isaac Nicholas Paintsil; and the Commanding Officer of 1 Bn, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Adams.
