The Officer Commanding ECOWAS Mission in the Gambia Ghana Company (ECOMIG GHANCOY) 8, Lieutenant Colonel Abraham Dery has handed over command to Officer Commanding ECOMIG GHANCOY 9 Lieutenant Colonel Ronne Yaw Agbemafle on Friday 30 May 2025 at the Barra Camp in The Gambia. 
During the ceremony, the baton of Authority was handed over to the incoming Officer Commanding after which the handing over and taking over notes were signed between the out-going Officer Commanding and the incoming Officer Commanding. 
In this remarks, Lt Col Abraham Dery, thanked the almighty God for a successful tour and personnel of GHANCOY 8 for their unwavering support and dedication during the tour. He urged personnel of GHANCOY 9 to support their OC to achieve successful results at the end of their tour. 
Lt Col RY Agbemafle in his remarks, urged personnel of GHANCOY 9 to be professional, discipline, dedicated and committed to every task assigned to them. He further thanked the Military High Command for the opportunity given to him.
