Ghana Company 4 (GHANCOY 4) serving with the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) celebrates Boxing Day with a donation to the Lar Fonte de Vida Orphanage at Quelele, Bissau on Friday 26 December 2025.
The donation was made as part of ESSMGB GHANCOY 4’s Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities, it also marked the significance of sharing on Boxing Day as part of Christmas celebration. Items donated to the Orphanage included bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, assorted food stuff, drinking water, snacks, toiletries and playing toys.
The Combat Team Commander, Lt Col Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah stated that the donation was to support the Orphanage and share the joy of Christmas with the children.
He noted that, this was made possible due to the peaceful coexistence between the good people of Guinea Bissau and ESSMGB. He concluded by reiterating that, all he needs in return was prayers for God’s protection over him and his soldiers.
The Manager of the Orphanage, Francisca Maria da Conceição thanked Lt Col Amoah and the entire Ghanaian contingent for the donation.
