Students of Basic Weapon Fitter Course 1-2025 of the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technical Training School (EMETTS) paid a familiarization visit to the 66 Artillery Regiment and the Artillery Training School on Friday 11 April 2025. The students were led by the Commanding Officer of the school, Lt Col Emmanuel Essilfi Odoom.
The aim of the visit was to introduce the students to the operations of the Regiment and educate them on the Artillery prowess of the Ghana Armed Forces.
As part of the visit, the students were taken through lectures on the history, organization and the role of the Regiment by Lt Mubarak Ziblila Adama. He also enlightened the students on the operations, functions and their weapon system.
The students were also briefed on the 105mm and 122mm howitzers, 122mm mantruck, 107mm and 122mm MRLS. Additionally, there was display of the guns with extensive lectures to offer practical insight into equipment usage of the various guns in the Armed Forces.
