The 6 Garrison has held its annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols and End-of -Year Religious Service on Sunday, 22 December 2025 at the Church of Pentecost Worship Centre, Barwah Barracks, Tamale under the theme, The season of Gratitude. The service provided an opportunity for troops and their families to give thanks to God for his protection over the year while seeking continued grace for the year ahead.
In his exhortation, Reverend Flying Officer Osafo-Kissi observed that every scripture read and carol serves as a testament to God’s enduring mercy and love.
He emphasized that the essence of the celebration lies in its power to transform the lives of the troops, aligning them more closely with the expectations of the Creator.
The 6 Garrison Commander, Air Commodore Nana Adu-Gyamfi during his Christmas message, paid tribute to the brave and gallant personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty during the year.
He commended the exceptional commitment of troops deployed to security hotspots across the Garrison and expressed appreciation for the ongoing efforts of the Chief of the Defence Staff and Service Chiefs to enhance the Garrison’s operational capabilities.
Air Commodore Adu-Gyamfi commended Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff for their resilience and professionalism throughout the year. He urged troops of the Garrison to maintain same for the upcoming year, wishing all a happy holiday season.
Present at the event were the General Officer Commanding Northern Command, Brigadier General Worlanyo Agbebo, Staff Officers at the Northern Command, various Commanding Officers within the Garrison, Officers, Soldiers, Defence Civilian Staff and Families.
