Central Command of the Ghana Army brought the year to a close with a relaxed day of fun games and a kenkey party, held on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, at the Central Command playgrounds in Idris Barracks, Kumasi.
Personnel took part in a range of activities that included draft, ludo, volleyball, sack and egg races, tug of war, musical chairs, and penalty kicks.
The competitions drew lively interest, and prizes were presented to participants who placed first, second and third respectively.
In his address, the General Officer Commanding Central Command, Brigadier General Albert Sison Ogaja, expressed his appreciation to personnel for their loyalty, commitment, and professionalism throughout the year.
He noted that their efforts had helped keep the region calm and assured them of the Military High Command’s gratitude.
He ended by wishing everyone a prosperous new year.
Also in attendance were the Command Operations Officer, Colonel Abass Atuluk; the Command Logistics Officer, Colonel John Frempong-Manso; the Commanding Officer of Headquarters Central Command Camp, Lieutenant Colonel Sparatus Baniyeni; and the Commanding Officer of 4 Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Emmanuel Wumbeidow, among others.
