COAS Commissions 3 Jungle Warfare School Projects

The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah has commissioned a new Officers’ Mess Dinning Hall, two (2) Squad Sheds and a Tiger Monument for the Jungle Warfare School (JWS) at the Seth Anthony Barracks, Achiase, in the Eastern Region of Ghana.Inaugurating the projects on Friday 7 July 2023, the COAS reiterated the Army High Command’s commitment to providing JWS, with the requisite infrastructure as the only Jungle Warfare Training School in West Africa.The delegation, which included Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Kenneth Kweku Kwaah Kumi – Deputy Chief Staff Officer (DCSO), Logistics, Brig Gen Emmanuel Acheampong Baidoo – DCSO, Administration and Brig Gen Stephen Woseadzikpo Parbey – Commander, Army Training Command, and the Acting Sergeant Major of the Army – Senior Warrant Officer Class 1 Dormah TR, also inspected ongoing construction projects.The Paramount Chief of Achiase – Daasebre Gyenin Kenten and his sub-chiefs, were amongst many present at the event.
