COAS Shares Vision with Senior Command & Staff Course 46

The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General (Maj Gen) Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, shared his vision with students of Senior Command and Staff Course 46 at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College on Thursday, 17 October 2024. The interaction which was part of activities marking the "Land Power Week", aimed to enhance the students’ understanding of the COAS' vision for the Ghana Army.The COAS emphasized the need for a cohesive, motivated, and well-rounded army capable of undertaking its national defense mission as part of the Ghana Armed Forces.He highlighted the threat of terrorism and other existential threats, making it imperative for the Ghana Army to evolve new strategies to safeguard the country's territorial integrity and provide security for Ghana's developmental agenda.Emphasizing that the peace of the country should not be taken for granted, Maj Gen Onwona reaffirmed the Ghana Army's commitment to addressing emerging national security threats alongside the Ghana Navy, Ghana Air Force, and other security services.
