Lele Group of Companies Donates Vehicle to 1 Infantry Battalion

The Lele Group of Companies presented a new Zhoda pickup vehicle to the 1 Infantry Battalion (1BN) during a ceremony held on Friday, 19 December 2025, at the Unit Parade Square, Michel Camp, Tema.

The event marked the official handover of the vehicle as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at supporting security agencies.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Southern Command, Brig Gen Isaac Nicholas Paintsil, received the vehicle on behalf of the Military High Command.

He expressed sincere gratitude to Lele Group, describing the donation as a strong endorsement of the Ghana Armed Forces. He commended such private-sector assistance as rare and invaluable, especially given the high costs of vehicles.

The GOC highlighted that the pickup would enhance the Battalion's operational and administrative efficiency by improving mobility, accelerating patrols, logistics, and community engagements. He underlined the importance of sustained military-corporate collaborations.

The Chief Executive Officer of Lele Group of Companies, Mr. Hussein Jaber, stated that the gift was a gesture of appreciation for the Battalion's role in safeguarding Tema's industrial zone.

Having operated in Ghana for over 25 years, the company views this contribution as part of its 2025 CSR programme, focused on local initiatives.
