A patrol team lead by the Commander Rear 11 Mechanised Battalion Lt Col Kakra Sasu-Antwi on Friday, 29 August 2025, intensified border patrols in Bongo Soe as part of efforts to deter suspected terrorist infiltration from neighbouring Burkina Faso.
The aim of the patrols was to reinforce security in the border communities, engage residents and verify intelligence on the reported presence of armed men in the general area.
The heightened presence of troops did not only reinforce vigilance but also served as a strong deterrent to potential threats.
The Community welcomed the operation, expressing relief at the visible show of force and requested for more of such patrols.
