66 Artillery Regiment Organizes Blood Donation and Cleaning Exercise

As part of its Civil-Military Cooperation, the 66 Artillery Regiment organised a blood donation exercise at the Ho Teaching Hospital on Wednesday 8 April 2026 and a clean-up exercise at the Ho Central Market on Friday 10 April 2026. The exercises were conducted as part of the Regiment’s 60th-anniversary celebrations.In a remark, the Commanding Officer of the Regiment, Lt Col Jalali Din Ibrahim, stated that, in line with the 60th-anniversary celebrations, the unit decided to conduct a blood donation exercise to support the national blood bank and save lives. He continued that the blood donation and cleanup exercises reflect the Regiment’s commitment to service, not only in defence of the nation but also in supporting the health and well-being of the communities, thereby demonstrating the Regiment’s core values of sacrifice, discipline and patriotism.The Laboratory Officer of the 7 Medical Reception Station, Lt (GN) Francis Ekow Eyison, noted that because blood is essential to healthcare, the unit deemed it necessary to participate in the exercise to support those in need. The Ho Teaching Hospital was chosen mainly because it has played a pivotal role in saving the lives of both active service members and veterans.The exercises were supported by members of the general public, with some kind people donating water and drinks to ensure they ran smoothly.Pictures by L/Bdr Anyimah E
