The 7 Medical Reception Station (7MRS) and the 66 Artillery Regiment on Thursday 8 May 2025, launched this year’s purple month which is mental health awareness month with an endurance walk at Ho in the Volta Region. The event was under the theme "Mental wellbeing, your health matters". A 12 kilometer endurance walk was organized through the principal streets of Ho to create awareness for the public and medical education for troops, Defence Civilian Staff and wives.
The Commanding Officer of the Regiment, Lt Col Jalali Din Ibrahim in his remarks stated that, troops and civilian staff should take their health issues seriously. He also encouraged all to visit the 7 MRS wellness center for any help.
The clinical health psychologist at the 7 MRS, Capt Christian Gyamfi also educated troops on mental health and encouraged all to check on their mental health status at all times.
