As a gesture of appreciation, the Accra Achimota School 1970 year group has handed over renovated tables and new tablecloths to the Army Mess Committee Members on Thursday, 20 February 2025 in Accra. The renovated tables and new tablecloths were purposely for use at the Addo Hall of the Army Mess.

The group's president, Captain (Merchant Navy) Aaron Turkson, expressed gratitude to the Ghana Army for allowing them to use the venue for their gatherings over the past 20 years. He emphasized their appreciation for the warm reception they received throughout the years.

Captain Turkson also acknowledged Brigadier General Jo-Sylvester Nkrumah (Rtd) and Brigadier General Charles James Richter-Addo (Rtd), both members of the year group, for introducing them to this magnificent venue.

President of the Mess Committee (PMC), Colonel Lawrence Owusu Brobbey, received the items on behalf of the committee and thanked the group for their kind gesture.
