Alpha Company Emerges Winner of UNIFIL GH 91 March and Shoot Competition

Alpha Company has emerged the overall best company in the UNIFIL GH 91 March and Shoot competition, held on Monday, 5 August, 2024, at the Battle Training Camp (BTC) in Bundase.

The event, which combined a tactical march with a shooting exercise, tested the physical endurance, precision, teamwork and the soldier’s knowledge in Combat First Aid.

Alpha Company demonstrated exceptional skills and teamwork thereby accruing a total mark of 399.5 which placed the Company at the first position with Headquarters and Charlie companies placing second and third respectively.

The Commanding Officer (CO) Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Isaac Kobe Boako in his closing remarks, emphasized the importance of the competition. He noted that the exercise was integral to the comprehensive fitness package, ensuring all troops are in peak physical condition and prepared for the challenges of deployment.

He mentioned that the competition had revealed the best individual and team firers for any competition in the mission area, highlighting its relevance as part of the pre-deployment training.

The competition underscored the commitment of UNIFIL GH 91 to maintaining high standards of operational readiness and capabilities.
