The Chief Staff Officer (CSO) at the Army Headquarters, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Atogbakoga Alobawone, has urged participants of Operational Intelligence Upgrade Course 1-2025
to apply their newly acquired knowledge to support the Ghana Army's operations effectively. Brig Gen Alobawone made this charge when he officially closed the Operational Intelligence Upgrade Course 1-2025 at the 5 Infantry Battalion Lecture Hall on Thursday, 27 February 2025.

The two-week course, facilitated by the Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), brought together 20 selected participants from the three services to enhance their intelligence gathering and operational skills.
Major Beth Simek, representing the Office of Security Cooperation of the US Embassy, highlighted that their support for the course demonstrates the strong security cooperation between the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and the US. She said the partnership aims to ensure that GAF receives the necessary training to excel in their operations.

Major Edward Fitzpatrick, representing SETAF-AF encouraged participants to continue studying and pushing themselves to achieve excellence. In his closing remarks, Brig Gen Alobawone congratulated the participants on sharpening their skills in intelligence operations. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the bonds and networks established during the course and staying proactive in their intelligence operations.

The CSO expressed gratitude to SETAF-AF and the Office of Security Cooperation for their support. Certificates of completion were awarded to the participants, while the facilitators received customized Ghana Army Kente stoles as a token of appreciation.
