As part of efforts to ensure battle preparedness, efficiency and effectiveness of Units under Command, a 5-Member Team of Principal Staff Officers from the Army Headquarters conducted an Operational Readiness Assessment of the 48 Engineer Regiment on Wednesday, 13 March 2025.
The team was led by Colonel Emmanuel Larbi Sarpong Gyadu, the Chief G3 (Operations). As part of the programme for the assessment, the Team received a brief from the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Frank Osei Ampnosah on the Operational, Logistics and Administrative matters of the Regiment.
Subsequently, the Team conducted physical assessment of the Unit’s readiness for operations. The assessment was generally good with some recommendations from the team for improved efficiency.
The Ghana Army, is Ghana’s Land Warfare Component tracing its origins from the Gold Coast Constabulary Regiment (GCCR) in the then British Empire, evolving through the years to become the present-day Professional Ghana Army.
