Army Men’s Team Clinches Victory at Super Volleyball Championship 2025

The Army Men’s Volleyball Team secured a remarkable victory over the Ghana Police Service in their highly anticipated match, standing out as one of the defining moments of the 4th edition of the Super Volleyball Championship 2025. The competition was officially brought to a close by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Krotos, Mr. Mohammed Aputeog, on Sunday, 23 November 2025, at the multipurpose hall of the Borteyman Sports Complex. The Guest of Honour, Director General of the National Sports Authority, Mr Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, commended all dignitaries, teams, and spectators for their dedication, resilience, and commitment to personal growth. He urged the players to continue nurturing curiosity, discipline, and determination as they pursue excellence in future competitions. The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod, also expressed his appreciation to all participating teams and supporters. He encouraged the players to maintain their passion and continue showcasing their talents to foster the growth and development of volleyball across the continent. The inter-service volleyball matches saw exceptional performances from both Army teams. The Army Men’s team delivered a decisive victory against the Ghana Police Service, while the Army Women’s team impressed with their win over the Kalibi Sports Club. Both teams were honoured with medals and plaques in recognition of their outstanding achievements. Outstanding Army personnel awarded at the ceremony included Staff Sergeant Benefo Daniel, Lance Corporal Alhassan Imoro Iddi, Corporal Owusu Gyamfi, and Yakubu Aminu. Distinguished attendees at the closing ceremony included the President of Zone 3, Honourable Alhaji Ali Yaro; President of the Ghana Volleyball Federation (GVBF), George Tettey Esq; Chief G3 (Operations) at Army Headquarters, Colonel Richard Amedeka; and Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Ampadu from the Training Branch of Army Headquarters.
