Defence Attaché of the Republic of Botswana to Ghana and Nigeria, Colonel (Col) Sekaba Sedumedi, has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, at the Army Headquarters in Burma Camp on Tuesday, 25 March 2025.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss issues of mutual benefit to Ghana and Botswana, as well as to enhance the existing bilateral relations between the two countries. Also as part of his familiarisation visit to Ghana, Col Sekaba sought to strengthen ties within his domain of responsibility as Defence Advisor.
Major General Gbetanu welcomed Col Sekaba, expressing his pleasure at receiving such a high-ranking personality on his first day in office.
In return, Col Sekaba congratulated Maj Gen Gbetanu on his elevation and appointment to the high office of the Ghana Army.As a token of appreciation, Maj Gen Gbetanu presented Col Sekaba with a customized Ghana Army plaque and a Kente stole.
