Dallaire Institute Delegation Pays Courtesy Call on COAS

A delegation from the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security, led by Mr. Arsène Tshidimu, Deputy Director for Regional Programmes at the African Centre of Excellence, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, at the Army Headquarters on Wednesday, 5 January 2025.

 

The visit aimed to express gratitude to the COAS for the collaboration between the Ghana Army and the Dallaire Institute. Mr. Tshidimu also congratulated Lieutenant General Onwona on his promotion and bade him farewell as he was due to return to his country.

 

In response, Lieutenant General Onwona appreciated the Dallaire Institute team and the Canadian government for their unwavering support in training personnel. He assured the team of the Ghana Army's commitment to strengthening their existing relationship and scheduling comprehensive training programs. Lieutenant General Onwona also wished Mr. Tshidimu well in his future endeavours.

 

The delegation included Major General Omane Agyekum (Rtd) and the Canadian Defence Attaché to Ghana, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Palmer.
