A delegation from the head office of FirstBank Ghana led by the Managing Director (MD), Mr Victor Yaw Asante has presented a cheque of GH¢50,000 to the Ghana Army on Wednesday, 19 February 2025 at the Army Headquarters in Burma Camp.
Mr Victor Yaw Asante stated that the donation was to support the Quick Impact Project, initiated by the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, to address accommodation challenges of young soldiers within the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). He further acknowledged GAF's ongoing projects and assured of FirstBank's continuous support towards the completion of the Quick Impact Project.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the COAS, the Chief Staff Officer, Brigadier General Atogbakoga Alobawone expressed his sincere gratitude to FirstBank for the kind gesture and noted that their contribution would significantly advance the Quick Impact Project. He also expressed hope for further collaboration to complete the structures and alleviate accommodation issues for young soldiers.
Present at the presentation were the Deputy Chief Staff Officer(Operations and Training), Brigadier General Kweku Dankwa Hagan, Deputy Chief Staff Officer(Intelligence), Brigadier General Fuseini Salifu, Deputy Chief Staff Officer(Policy and Plans) Brigadier General Yehuza Salifu, some Senior Officers at the Army Headquarters, and FirstBank Ghana's Country Team Leader for Marketing and Corporate Communications, Mr Enoch Vanderpuye.
