The Ghana Armed Forces Pay Regiment on Friday, 4 October 2024 inaugurated a new ultramodern office block named in honour of former Defence Financial Comptroller, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Enusah Abdulai (Rtd). During the ceremony, the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah lauded Gen Abdulai for his significant contributions to the Forces Pay Corps and the broader Ghana Armed Forces. He described him as a visionary leader and mentor whose dedication to excellence has inspired many.
The CDS disclosed that the new office block features modern amenities designed to support both personnel and visitors, promoting teamwork through open spaces while ensuring privacy when necessary. He urged personnel of the Regiment to utilize the new resources to innovate and improve their quality of work.
Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah also stressed the importance of maintaining the facility to ensure its longevity and acknowledged the contributions of Akani Logistics, Ramelco Limited, Sevores Construction Company Limited, and other supporters in bringing this project to fruition.
The Commanding Officer of the Forces Pay Regiment, Colonel Miki Adusei Nkrumah explained that a significant increase in personnel had led to overcrowded office spaces, prompting the need for this new two-storey building. Brig Gen Enusah Abdulai (Rtd) expressed gratitude to the CO and the entire Forces Pay Regiment for the honor bestowed upon him.
