Ghana Military Academy Conducts Medical Outreach at Ashanti Kpoeta

The Ghana Military Academy conducted a two day medical outreach with free health screening and general medical consultation from 14-15 January 2025 at Ashanti - Kpoeta in the Ho West District of the Volta Region. A total of 734 people from the Kpoeta Traditional area benefitted from the medical screening process.

The Commandant of the Ghana Military Academy, Major General Charles Agyemang- Prempeh in his remarks stated that, the aim of the outreach was to show appreciation to the community. He indicated that the community supports and hosts cadets to conduct their exercises successfully. Hence, he deemed it appropriate to show appreciation for their kind gestures.

The Midwife in-charge of the CHPS Compound, Madam Florence Atike, expressed gratitude to the Commandant of the Military Academy for relieving the facility. She added that, although an average of 18-20 patients turn up at the CHPs Compound daily for treatment, some sick people in Kpoeta often chose to stay at home with their ailments due to financial difficulties

The Senior Medical Officer of Ghana Military Academy, Major Fuseini Sylvester Alhassan advised the people of Ashanti Kpoeta to pay serious attention to their health and visit the nearest medical center for frequent check-up.

The Ashanti Kpoeta Basic School also had a donation of library books from the Academy to enhance their reading skills. The outreach was graced by Colonel Noble Carl Doe Dei -Alorse, Chief Coordinator of the Ghana Military Academy, Colonel Cephas Tettey Broni, Chief instructor,  Army Faculty and Senior Warrant Officer Gane Frederick, Academy Sergeant Major.
