The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Central Command, Brigadier General Albert Sison Ogaja has broken ground for the construction of a new Audit and Finance Office Complex on Monday, 1 September 2025, at Idris Barracks, Kumasi.
Providing details of the project, Mr. Joseph Arko-Mensah, Principal Works Superintendent of the 494 Engineers Squadron, explained that the facility will include five offices, each with its own washroom, as well as additional six washrooms. The project is expected to be completed within two months.
As Guest of Honour, Brigadier General Ogaja urged the contractor to work diligently and ensure timely completion. He further encouraged the contractor to inform him promptly should any challenges arise during the construction process.
