On Friday 10 April 2026, the newly appointed Force Commander (FC) of the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Danjuma Ribah Dantani, paid a familiarisation visit to Ghana Company 4 (GHANCOY 4).
The visit took place at the Presidential Palace as part of his courtesy and familiarisation tour.
During the visit, the Combat Team Commander, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah, briefed the FC on the Company’s Operations, Logistics and Administration.
The latter held an all-ranks durbar with personnel after a tour of the Camp.
In his remarks, Brig Gen Dantani expressed satisfaction with GHANCOY 4’s operational readiness. He commended Lt Col Amoah for improving the Camp’s infrastructure and for prioritising the welfare of his troops. He encouraged the Combat Team Commander and his troops to maintain the high operational standards demonstrated so far.
The FC urged GHANCOY 4 to continue the good work and to remain vigilant and alert, as the country’s political and security situation remained unpredictable.
