The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Stallion Trust, Mr Charles Osei Akoto, a stakeholder in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Provident Fund, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, at the Army Headquarters in Burma Camp.
Mr Osei Akoto expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to meet the COAS, who also serves as Chairman of the GAF Provident Fund’s Board of Trustees, and congratulated him on his appointment. He highlighted the fund’s strong performance and growth, emphasizing Stallion Trust’s commitment to supporting the fund’s continued success under the COAS’s leadership.
In response, Major General Gbetanu welcomed Mr Osei Akoto and acknowledged the important administrative role Stallion Trust plays in managing the fund. He stressed the Provident Fund’s significance as a key welfare initiative for GAF personnel and encouraged continued dedication to improving its operations for the benefit of all members.
As a gesture of appreciation, the COAS presented Mr Osei Akoto with a commemorative plaque and a customized Ghana Army Kente stole. Also present were Director General Legal Services, Brigadier General Charles Gbekle and Director Resettlement, Colonel Joseph Kobla Buame.
