The 4 Garrison has held its fourth quarter thanksgiving religious parade for personnel on Sunday 24 November, 2024, at the 4 Garrison Methodist/Presbyterian Church, Uaddara Barracks, Kumasi. The event was themed "Guardians of Peace: The Role of a Soldier in Nation Building."During the sermon, the Director of Army Religious Affairs (DARA), Colonel Peter Nyarko Duodu, along with Garrison Imam Captain Mohammed Yussif, emphasized the importance of exhibiting peace both at home and in the workplace. They urged personnel to show compassion towards others and to embody a spirit of peace throughout the nation.Intercessory prayers were offered for security personnel and the country in anticipation for the upcoming 2024 General Elections.The Command Operations Officer Colonel Henry Ansah-Akrofi, speaking on behalf of Brigadier General Michael Kwadwo Opoku, the General Officer Commanding Central Command, expressed gratitude to God for His protection over the Garrison, especially for those affected by two recent fire incidents, where thankfully no lives were lost. He encouraged personnel to maintain neutrality and uphold professionalism and dedication to duty during the upcoming elections.
