A three-tier programme of Health walk, Educational Talk and Breast Screening has been held at the 6 Garrison to observe and promote the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 
The event, which was themed, "Screen Early, Live Longer, Join the Fight," was held on Friday 25 October 2024 concurrently at the Bawah Barracks and Camp Nyohini. This brought together an appreciable number of the Garrison personnel and their families to observe the awareness campaign.
The General Officer Commanding Northern Command, Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, in his address admonished personnel to take breast cancer seriously and use the opportunity to get tested since early detection and treatment saves life. Additionally, he encouraged personnel to adopt proactive healthcare through educational awareness and regular screening.
