As part of operational visits, the Force Commander of the ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB), Brig Gen IU Akpan visited ESSMGB GHANCOY 3 Camp on 22nd August 2024.
The aim of the visit was to familiarize himself with the operational, logistics and administrative matters of the GHANCOY as well as to formally introduce himself to the troops.
The Force Commander expressed his satisfaction with the operations of the GHANCOY and the warm reception that was offered to him and his Staff Officers.
Speaking on behalf of officers and troops of GHANCOY 3, the Combat Team Commander, Lt Col GM Agboado gave him a brief on operational, logistics and administrative matters. He further thanked the Force Commander for his continuous support. 
Brig Gen IU Akpan also interacted with the troops and commended them for showing a high level of professionalism over the period.
