National Security Minister Visits ESSMGB GHANCOY 3

On Saturday 16 November 2024, a Ghanaian delegation led by the National Security Minister, Honorable Albert Kan- Dapaah, paid a familiarization visit to the ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) GHANCOY 3 Headquarters. . The Minister was in Guinea Bissau to represent the President of the Republic of Ghana at their 51st Independence Anniversary Celebration. The Officer Commanding (OC) the Company, Lieutenant Colonel ( Lt Col) Gabriel Mawuli Agboado briefed the delegation on a summary of operational activities conducted by GHANCOY 3 and expressed gratitude for the Government's unwavering support to the Company. The National Security Minister on behalf of the Commander in Chief (C-In-C) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expressed his satisfaction with the operations and dedication of GHANCOY. In an interaction with Key Appointment Holders, Hon. Kan-Dapaah commended all Ranks for their conduct over the period and urged them to continue to be worthy ambassadors of Ghana. In appreciation for the visit, Lt Col GM Agboado presented a plaque to the Honorable Minister. Accompanying the Minister were H.E Maxwell Awiaga, Ghana’s Ambassador to Guinea Conakry and Guinea Bissau, Ambassador Sena Siaw-Boateng, Chief Director, Ministry of National Security, Mr. Peter Taylor, Director, Ministry Of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Dr. Victoria Sam, Director, Analysis Department, Ministry of National Security and Mrs Rebecca Kan-Dapaah - Spouse of the Minister for National Security.
