New executives of the Retired Armed Forces Wives Association (RAFOWA), led by Mrs Bertha Amedoh, visited the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona, at the Army Headquarters on Wednesday 13 November, 2024.
The purpose of their visit was to officially introduce themselves as the new executives of RAFOWA and to congratulate the COAS on his promotion and appointment. They also announced their initiative to solicit funds to support the children's ward at the 37 Military Hospital during this festive season, a tradition upheld by the organization annually.
In response, the COAS expressed gratitude for their kind wishes and highlighted the significant role that the wives of armed forces personnel have played in supporting their husbands, which has contributed to the numerous successes chalked. He congratulated them on their new roles and affirmed that their project to assist children was a commendable cause, assuring them of the Ghana Army’s support to help realize this initiative.
