Regular Career Course Intake 65 Pays A Visit To 66 Artillery Regiment

The Cadets of Regular Career Course Intake 65 of the Ghana Military Academy, led by the Course Commander, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Calvin Tawiah Martins, paid a familiarisation visit to the 66 Artillery Regiment on Saturday 21 February 2025.

The visit aimed to introduce the students to the Regiment’s operational activities and to educate them about the Artillery's prowess within the Ghana Armed Forces.

In a welcome address by the Commanding Officer of the Regiment, Lt Col Jalali Din Ibrahim, he urged the students to take the briefing and tour seriously, as some of them will one day become officers who will return to the Regiment.

As part of the visit, the cadets were taken through lectures on the history, organisation and role of the Regiment by Captain Stephan Atuimah. The cadets were also enlightened about the operations, functions and the Regiment's weapon system.

The students were also briefed on the 105mm and 122mm Hotwitzers, the 122mm Mantruck, and the 107mm and 122mm Multiple Rocket Launcher Systems. A display of the Guns, Recce, and Command Post vehicles provided practical insight into their use.
