The Ghana Engineering Reconstruction Team deployed to Jamaica has recorded significant progress in its humanitarian mission, completing roofing works on a number of solid structures across St. Elizabeth Parish.
The completed works, carried out in communities including Middle Quarters, Black River, New Holland and other adjoining towns, form part of ongoing reconstruction efforts aimed at restoring homes affected by recent adverse weather conditions.
The accelerated pace of work was deliberately structured to ensure that selected houses were fully roofed before the close of the year 2025.
The initiative underscores Ghana’s commitment to regional solidarity, while providing affected families with renewed safety and shelter.
